Think about the adjectives you most want to describe you - genuine, attentive, present, loving, positive, faithful - whatever it is that you desire for yourself. Maybe they vary at different times of the day.
The way you want to show up in the morning with your kids may be different than at work or after school or in the evening after kids are in bed.
When you’ve decided on these words, make a note of them in your planner (or as alarms on your phone) at the designated times. This will cue you and your brain to either stay in or shift back to that mode of being.
Christian Planner Tip: To help improve your sleep, turn off all screens (TV and phone) at least an hour before bed. Reading before bed has also been found to improve sleep quality.
