God is Ever Present

God is Ever Present

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Psalm 46:1 NIV

Where do we look when we are in trouble? Where do we turn we are not in trouble? Where we go when we are not in trouble is where we will go when we are in trouble.

God is our refuge and strength. We can only hold on to this if we go to Him in all things. It is when we go to Him in times of ease that we are able to easily turn to Him in our troubles.

He is ever-present in every aspect of our lives. All we have to do is receive His presence. When we do this we are able to stand firmly in His promises.

He promises to help us in trouble. Let us, let Him help us when we are not in trouble, so that when we are we can more easily lean on Him. In this way, our fear and worry will dissipate.

Considerations for your planner:

  • When do you turn to God? Write down the last time you sought Him. Was it in trouble or in ease?

A Prayer for Our Community:

Father, Be with us always. Help us to receive your presence even when we do not think we need it. We want to be made strong. We want to have refuge. Help us to know you are providing even if we cannot see it. Help us to invite you into every aspect of our lives. We do need you. Even when we are not in trouble. Amen.
